NANS Backs Embattled CEO Jesam Micheal in Fight Against Financial Fraud

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has thrown its weight behind Jesam Micheal, the CEO of Afriq Arbitrage System (AAS), who has been embroiled in a bitter battle against financial fraud.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the NANS Senate President, Comrade Segun Elvis Ekundina expressed its “unwavering support” for Micheal, who has been accused of financial malpractice by some individuals. The association described Micheal as a “respected figure in the Nigerian youth and crypto community” who has been a “beacon of trustworthiness and integrity” in his dealings.

According to Ekundina, Micheal’s platform, AAS, has positively impacted countless lives by providing honest and timely returns to its investors. However, the association alleged that Micheal’s trust was betrayed by Abayomi Oluwasesan, who was entrusted with access to the AAS platform.

Oluwasesan’s actions, NANS said, represent a “blatant violation of the principles of integrity and honesty” and have caused “immeasurable harm” to investors and the integrity of the financial ecosystem.

The association urged regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies to “redouble their efforts” in combating financial crimes and protecting the interests of investors.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with Jesam Micheal and the affected investors in their pursuit of justice and restitution,” the statement said. “We must remain vigilant against opportunistic individuals who seek to exploit others for personal gain.”

It would be recalled that the development comes as Micheal faces a legal battle against Oluwasesan, who has been accused of embezzling $87 million of investors’ funds. Micheal has denied any wrongdoing and has vowed to continue fighting for justice.
