The Ogun state chapter of Yoruba AFENIFERE Youth Organisation of Nigeria (YAYON)has urged the presidency and the National Assembly to give quick and Rapid attention to the signing of the Proposed Regional government by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was contained in a statement issued by the group Secretary, Saheed Adeola and signed by Chairman, Comr. Sodeinde Daniel.
The Cordinator of the group in the state Arch Com Sodeinde Daniel said that Nigeria is at the critical stage and that all effort to bring Nigeria back to its past great height is failing and the only option remaining is to return the country back to Regional Government
The Cordinator of the group said that the Democracy we are celebrating today has failed totally in Nigeria and we cannot continue like this.
If truly we want this Nation to be great again and to save our democracy, its going to be in the Nation hest interest to return back to Regional Government.
Looking back to the history of this country and especially the Yoruba race,we will discover that the best says of our Region comes in those days we have our own autonomy, days we have capacity to rule ourselves in our own language and by our people.
It was in these days great things were achieved in the South west and many infrastructure that we see today are still standing.
Its obvious that the present unitary system in Nigeria is not working and to get it right we need to stop and thnk, and return this country back to Regional government.
Today Nigeria has been hit with its worst economy situation and the body language of the president and all its policies seems not to be working,we cant continue to be decieving ourselves.
We are urging the National Assembly members especially those from.the southern part of the Nation to see this Bill as the most important of all and write thier Names in the good book of history he said.
