The Yoruba National Youths, both home and diaspora, have dissociated Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation agitator, from the planned nationwide protest against poor governance. In a joint statement, the group’s leaders, Prophet Ayodele Ologunloluwa and Comrade Oyegunle Oluwamayowa Omotoyole, stated that Igboho is not connected to the protest and is instead focused on Yoruba Nation self-determination.
The group emphasized that their quest for autonomy is non-negotiable and that they will deploy all means to achieve it. They believe that Nigeria has failed and that the solution lies in each nationality managing its resources and developing at its own pace.
The Yoruba youths reiterated their call for autonomy, saying they are more determined than ever to proceed with their agenda without distraction. They expressed support for Professor Banji Akintoye and Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, who advocate for a Yoruba nation that will guarantee speedy development.
The group urged all Yoruba indigenes to support their efforts towards liberating Yorubaland and commended traditional rulers for their support. They vowed to deploy all means to ensure the realization of their dreams.
