President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration is working hard to improve their lives and that the results of the reforms will soon be visible and concrete for everyone to see, feel, and enjoy.

In a national broadcast on Sunday morning, Tinubu responded to the protests against bad governance that have rocked most parts of the country. He expressed his pain at the loss of lives and destruction of properties during the protests, and commiserated with the families of those who have died.

“I speak to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of responsibility, aware of the turmoil and violent protests unleashed in some of our states,” Tinubu said. “Notably among the protesters were young Nigerians who desired a better and more progressive country where their dreams, hopes, and personal aspirations would be fulfilled.”

The President urged protesters and organizers to suspend further protests and create room for dialogue, which he has always been open to. “Under the circumstances, I hereby enjoin protesters and the organisers to suspend any further protest and create room for dialogue, which I have always acceded to at the slightest opportunity,” he said.

Tinubu emphasized that his government will not allow a few individuals with a clear political agenda to tear the nation apart, and that he is committed to protecting the lives and property of every citizen. “As President of this country, I must ensure public order. In line with my constitutional oath to protect the lives and property of every citizen, our government will not stand idly by and allow a few with a clear political agenda to tear this nation apart,” he said.

The President assured Nigerians that his administration is working hard to improve their lives, and that the results of the reforms will soon be visible and concrete for everyone to see, feel, and enjoy. “Let nobody misinform and miseducate you about your country or tell you that your government does not care about you. Although there have been many dashed hopes in the past, we are in a new era of Renewed Hope. We are working hard for you, and the results will soon be visible and concrete for everyone to see, feel, and enjoy,” he said.

Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to work together to build a brighter future, choosing hope over fear, unity over division, and progress over stagnation. “Let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come. Let us choose hope over fear, unity over division, and progress over stagnation,” he said.

The President’s assurance comes as protests against bad governance have continued to spread across the country, with many Nigerians demanding better living conditions, economic opportunities, and good governance. Tinubu’s call for dialogue and his commitment to reforms are seen as a positive step towards addressing the grievances of the protesters and improving the lives of Nigerians.
