Popular crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison. He was convicted on April 5 for mutilating naira notes and pleaded guilty to the charges. Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024, and was seen celebrating with friends in a video.
Background of the Case
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had charged Bobrisky with four counts bordering on naira abuse. He was arraigned before Justice A.O. Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, and pleaded guilty to the charges.
Release from Prison
After serving his sentence, Bobrisky was released from prison on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was seen in a video with friends, vibing to Mohbad’s and Chike’s Egwu song. His friends were quoted saying, ‘we are out of prison. Congratulation Bobrisky.”
