NGO Empowers Ogun Community Residents

A non-profit organisation, the Everlasting Fountain Welfare Initiative, has empowered hundreds of residents in the Magboro area of Ogun State and its environs with the distribution of essential food items, clothing, and footwear. The initiative also included training sessions on sustainable livelihoods.

The distribution, held at the New Covenant Church, Magboro, saw beneficiaries receive essential food items such as rice, garri, fish, noodles, tomato paste, and vegetable oil. In addition, the organisation provided clothing and footwear to community members.

Beyond immediate relief, the EFWI organised training sessions on sustainable livelihoods, equipping residents with skills in fishing, snail rearing, and small-scale farming to empower beneficiaries to become self-reliant and improve their economic status.

The founder of the NGO, Abiola Adeniyi, expressed her commitment to making a positive impact on the community, stating, “We are deeply touched by the plight of our people and are committed to making a difference in their lives.”

Beneficiaries expressed immense gratitude for the support received, with Mrs. Bimpe, a widow with three children, saying, “These food items will feed my family for at least a week. I am also excited about the farming training; it gives me hope for a brighter future.”

The success of the outreach was made possible through the generous support of some esteemed partners. The Everlasting Fountain Welfare Initiative is calling on individuals, organisations, and corporate bodies to partner with them in its mission to uplift the less privileged.
