Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, has slammed his twin brother, Paul Okoye, aka RudeBoy, in an open letter over repeated remarks that undermined his contributions to the defunct P-Square group.
In the emotion-ridden letter shared on his Instagram page, Peter accused Paul of constantly discrediting his efforts in the group they co-founded and nurtured to stardom.
The letter read in part:
“My dear brother Paul, just like I have told you several times, I am not in any competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group that we both created and built together really speaks volumes.”
Peter specifically mentioned Paul’s claims that he wrote and sang 99 percent of all P-SQUARE songs and discredited him by saying that their song with TI “EjeaJo,” which he wrote, was a failure.
He also listed several other songs he contributed to, asking if they were also considered failures.
Peter expressed his disappointment and hurt, saying that instead of showing gratitude for his kind words, Paul seems to find satisfaction in rubbing it in his face, forgetting that it is by God’s grace that they have come this far.
He accused Paul of always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate him, claiming to be P-SQUARE’s songwriter, composer, producer, singer, backup vocalist, video director, band, promoter, manager, and even choreographer.
