The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has cleared an additional 22 state-owned tertiary institutions for student loan applications. This brings the total number of institutions cleared to 108.
The newly cleared institutions include Abia State University, Uturu; College of Education, Nsugbe; Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University; Delta State University, Abraka; and 18 others.
Students from these institutions can now apply for loans on the NELFUND portal, (link unavailable) The loan fund had previously cleared 86 state-owned institutions.
NELFUND has also disbursed over N1 billion as tuition fees to 20,000 students from institutions across the country. The loan fund aims to provide financial assistance to students in need, enabling them to pursue their education without financial burdens.
