The Edo State Police Command arrested a 19-year-old self-acclaimed native doctor for allegedly killing his client.
The incident occurred on August 20 at Onumu Community, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area.
The native doctor, specializing in charms against gunshots and cutlass attacks, allegedly killed the client, Alex Ezekiel, while testing the efficacy of a charm.
According to the police statement:
Ezekiel approached the native doctor for a bulletproof charm.
The native doctor prepared the charm and tested it by shooting Ezekiel.
Ezekiel sustained fatal injuries and died at Ifejola Hospital, Igarra.
Edo State Police Command spokesman, Moses Yamu, stated that:
“The suspect will face prosecution as soon as an investigation is concluded.”
