Two men, Onitilor Idris, 28, and Okanlawon Sunday, 27, have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly breaking into shops and stealing valuable items.
The incident occurred on Sunday at 4:00 a.m. in the Imowo area of Ijebu Ode.
A police statement revealed that Omotayo Segun Orojo reported the incident after receiving a call from a security guard, Mr. Usman, informing him that his shop had been broken into.
Upon arrival, Orojo discovered that multiple shops in the area had been tampered with and several items stolen.
The stolen items include:
– An air conditioner
– A gas-refilled can
– Evaporator pipes
– A refrigerator capacitor
– An air conditioner installation plate
The suspects were caught with the help of neighbors.
Omolola Odutola, the state command spokesperson, confirmed that investigations are ongoing and further updates will be provided.
This isn’t the first burglary incident in Ogun State. Previously, two men were arrested for burgling and stealing in a residential building in Ado-Odo/Ota.
