Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has shared footage and photos of his smashed car after a ghastly accident, expressing gratitude for surviving the ordeal.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward posted a video on social media, showing his injured arm and the severely damaged sports car. Although the post has been deleted, screenshots and clips have circulated online.
According to German tabloid Bild, Boniface is “doing well considering the circumstances and is only slightly injured,” citing a source close to the striker.
Boniface took to social media to express his gratitude, writing “God is the greatest” and “God says my time hasn’t come.”
The 23-year-old striker has been in impressive form this season, scoring seven goals in 10 games for Leverkusen. He recently made headlines after scoring the winning goal against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, despite missing a penalty earlier in the game.
Leverkusen is set to face French club Brest in the Champions League on Wednesday, but it remains unclear if Boniface will participate due to his injuries.
This incident follows recent car accidents involving Nigerian celebrities, including Nollywood actor Charles Okocha and comedian Sabinus, who both survived their respective crashes.
