The grassroots politician from Yewa North Local Government of the state in a statement obtained by the Nationalreports, extended his heartfelt commendations to Governor Abiodun and the entire Gateway Games 2024 team for the successful hosting, saying that the opening ceremony has no doubt indicates a successful event.
Our correspondent reports that the festival’s opening ceremony, took place yesterday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Hon. Amb described the opening ceremony as a grand spectacle that showcased the state’s capacity to host major sporting events.
According to his statement, “This festival provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents, potentially leading to new opportunities and national recognition.
“I expressed my profound appreciation to our indefatigable Governor for his visionary leadership, this festival has shown to everyone that the Governor is committed to promote sports development in Ogun state and I wish all the participants from various states a success as the games begin.
