The Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Agriculture, Hon. Olarenwaju Showunmi, has congratulated Hon. Chief Olayinka Abiodun Adegun and his wife on their recent installation as the Lupona and Erelu Lupona of Iporo Sodeke, in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
In a statement obtained by NationalReports on Tuesday, Hon. Showunmi described the conferment of the chieftaincy titles by the Iporo Traditional Council of Chiefs as “a well-deserved honor for Chief Adegun, who is a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The installation ceremony, which was held at the historic Ogboni House in Kobiti, Abeokuta, was conducted by high-ranking traditional chiefs including the Apena Iporo, Chief Araba Okedairo; the Baase of Iporo, Chief Isiaka Owolabi; and the Baala Ilu Iporo, among others.
The statement commended the new Lupona on his dedication to community development, traditional heritage, and leadership, expressing confidence that the new Lupona would serve with dignity and purpose.
He said “I trust in his passion to uphold our traditions and contribute to the growth and unity of our people.”
