Award-winning Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has officially announced the return of her popular comedy series Aiyetoro Town with a second season, five years after the first season premiered.
In a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Akindele revealed that Aiyetoro Town Season 2 will premiere on June 22, 2025, exclusively on FAANtv’s YouTube channel.
The new season promises to deliver the same mix of humour, drama, and life lessons that made the first season a hit among fans. Akindele expressed excitement about the return of the series and extended gratitude to the cast and crew for their commitment and hard work.
“Five years ago, we brought you Aiyetoro Town Season 1, and now we’re back with Season 2!! Get ready for laughter, drama, and of course, life lessons,” she wrote.
“A big thank you to my amazing cast and crew – your dedication and talent made this story come alive! You all are the real MVPs!” she added.
Aiyetoro Town, a spin-off from the Jenifa’s Diary universe, has garnered a massive following for its relatable storytelling and vibrant characters.
Fans of the show can catch the new episodes on FAANtv’s YouTube platform starting Sunday, June 22.
