Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, has commended the National Judicial Council (NJC) for the appointment of Mrs. Adejumoke Adewole, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, as a judge of the Ogun State High Court.
Adeleye described the ministry’s excitement and gratitude upon receiving the news of Mrs. Adewole’s elevation. She also praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to the professional growth of women in the state civil service.
In a statement released on Saturday, Adeleye applauded the NJC for recognising Adewole’s dedication, character, and record of excellence in public service. “This I am sure is an affirmation of the NJC’s enduring commitment to integrity, merit, and the promotion of capable professionals into positions of national importance,” she stated.
She described Adewole’s appointment as both monumental and historic for the Ministry and for women in leadership across the public sector.
According to the NJC’s communiqué following its 109th meeting held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Adewole was among three individuals appointed as High Court Judges in Ogun State.
Adeleye said the appointment was a well-deserved recognition of Adewole’s service and commitment to justice and institutional development. She noted that Adewole’s brilliance and dedication had long set her apart in the civil service.
Describing her as a “thoroughbred administrator and bridge-builder,” Adeleye highlighted Adewole’s role in advancing gender policy implementation and promoting inclusivity and accountability within the Ministry.
She emphasized that the appointment sends a strong message to women in public service that integrity and excellence are rewarded.
“We are confident that she will uphold the sacred principles of justice, equity, and truth with the same dignity and excellence that have defined her professional journey,” the commissioner added.
On behalf of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Adeleye extended warm congratulations to Adewole and wished her divine wisdom and strength in her new role on the Bench.
