Sam Larry Denies Assaulting Late Singer Mohbad

Show promoter Sam Larry has denied allegations that he assaulted the late singer Mohbad, stating that their encounter was misinterpreted.

In an interview with social media activist Verydarkman, Sam Larry addressed a viral video that appeared to show him confronting Mohbad at a beach, a scene that sparked public outrage and speculation of harassment.

Explaining the situation, Sam Larry said he had approached Mohbad over a business dispute, claiming the singer failed to appear for a performance after being paid. “That video was just 9 seconds. I was with my son at the beach. When I saw Mohbad, I walked up to him and demanded my money for a show he didn’t show up for. Zlatan was there and quickly stepped in to resolve it. There was no assault, I’ve never touched Mohbad all my life,” he said.

The video had led many to accuse Sam Larry of being involved in activities that may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

Addressing speculation about his whereabouts during the time of Mohbad’s passing, Sam Larry stated that he was in Dubai, while his associate, singer Naira Marley, was in Amsterdam.

He also commented on the silence of fellow artiste Zlatan Ibile, who was reportedly present during the beach incident. According to Sam Larry, Zlatan was advised to avoid getting involved in the controversy. Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Zlatan say if hin talk, say blood go comot for hin mouth.”

The case surrounding Mohbad’s death has continued to generate widespread interest, with fans and members of the entertainment industry calling for justice and clarity.
