Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has set a new record on global music streaming platform Spotify.
The ‘Rush’ crooner recently surpassed five million followers on the platform, becoming the first African female artist to achieve the milestone.
However, despite this feat, she still trails Tems on the list of the most streamed African female artists on Spotify.
Ayra Starr has garnered a total of 2.7 billion streams across all credits, while Tems leads with 3.8 billion streams.
Ayra Starr’s most streamed song on Spotify is “Santa,” which has over 707 million streams. Her most streamed lead single on the platform is “Rush,” with over 474 million streams.
