Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has stated that his concerns about facing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup final are no different from those he has about any other team.
Speaking ahead of the high-stakes match scheduled to take place on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in the United States, Maresca emphasized that his preparation approach remains consistent regardless of the opponent.
“What worries me about Paris Saint-Germain is what worries me about any team,” Maresca was quoted as saying on Chelsea’s official website.
“I respect every team, but the way I prepare for the match on Sunday is the same way I prepared for the match against the Brazilian teams. It doesn’t change much for me in the sense that I try to see where we can hurt them and I try to see where I can prevent them from hurting us. From there we prepare for the match,” he added.
Chelsea booked their place in the final after a 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Fluminense in the semi-final, while PSG secured their spot by defeating Real Madrid in a dominant 4-0 performance. The final promises to be a thrilling clash between two European giants competing for global supremacy.
