Organisers of the reality TV show Big Brother Naija have announced that the 10th season of the popular show will premiere this July with a two-day launch event.

At a press briefing held on Wednesday, the organisers revealed that the winner of Season 10 will walk away with a record-breaking grand prize of ₦150 million, the highest since the show’s inception in 2006.

While addressing the press, Obi-Uchendu outlined the show’s impact over the years, noting that Big Brother Naija has featured 197 housemates across nine seasons, aired for a total of 709 days, and awarded ₦637 million in prizes.

The most recent edition, Season 9 titled “No Loose Guard,” featured a unique format where contestants entered the house in pairs and were later unpaired to compete individually. The season ended with Kellyrae emerging as the winner, making history as the first married contestant to claim the prize of ₦100 million.

The much-anticipated Season 10 promises to raise the bar with a bigger prize and new twists, continuing the show’s legacy as one of Africa’s most watched reality programmes.
