Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some of his colleagues in the music industry are envious of his success.

The rapper stated that the narrative suggesting he is not lyrically gifted comes from jealousy among his peers.

Odumodublvck, who is known for his hit song “Pity This Boy,” insisted that he has achieved more international recognition than any other Nigerian rapper despite claims that he is less talented.

Speaking on the Toronto Ada’s Room podcast, the artist said some of his colleagues resent him because he is both a rapper and a singer.

“In Nigeria, they say that my rap is not good, but I’m the most featured rapper by international artists. I think it’s a thing of envy because I sing my hooks, my songs are hits, and I get more bookings than them,” he said.

“The envy is deep, especially when they think they are better. But we pay no mind to that. We just continue pushing for those that believe—let them continue to tune in. It’s very unfortunate for the people on the other side because this thing is not going to stop soon,” he added.

Odumodublvck also challenged his fellow rappers who claim to be better than him to prove their superiority by selling more records and performing at more shows.
