The Federal Government has extended Christmas greetings to Nigerians, describing the festive season as one marked by love, sacrifice and hope.
In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government said the values associated with Christmas serve as a reminder for citizens to care for one another, remain united and keep faith in the country despite prevailing challenges.
The statement noted that the patience and resilience of Nigerians would not be taken for granted, assuring that the efforts and sacrifices of citizens would not be in vain.
According to the minister, the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for all.
The government also urged Nigerians to remember those facing difficulties during the festive period, particularly families affected by acts of terror, while recognising the efforts of security personnel who continue to protect lives and property across the country.
It further called on citizens to use the Christmas season to promote peace, kindness and unity within their homes and communities.
