Lisabi Day: Reps Aspirant, Omo-Oba Applauds Alake, Calls for Sustained Cultural Unity

A House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Sheriff Adeola Olabode Omo-Oba, has congratulated the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, as well as sons and daughters of Egbaland, on the occasion of the 2026 Lisabi Day celebration held at the Ake Palace in Abeokuta.

In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, Omo-Oba, an aspirant in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency described the monarch as an outstanding traditional ruler who has positively transformed the Egba community.

He commended the people of Egbaland for their enduring unity and deep pride in their cultural heritage.

The reps aspirant noted that Lisabi Day serves not only as a remembrance of the legendary warrior Lisabi’s bravery and leadership, but also as a rallying point for cultural pride and collective progress.

He hinted on the importance of cultural celebrations in promoting unity, social cohesion, and development within society.

Omo-Oba also praised the Alake of Egbaland for sustaining and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Egbaland.

“This celebration is more than just a cultural gathering; it reflects the values, strength, and resilience of our people. I commend the Alake of Egbaland for fostering cultural renaissance and unity,” he said.

He expressed optimism that the legacy of Lisabi would continue to inspire courage, unity, and progress across Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
