The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence in Abuja.
Yilwatda visited to commiserate with El-Rufai over the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness.

It was earlier reported that several prominent political figures have also visited the former governor to offer their condolences at his Abuja residence.

Among those who have paid visits are Dikko Umar Radda; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi; former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami; and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The condolence visits come as political leaders across the country continue to express sympathy and support for El-Rufai and his family during this period of mourning.
