Hon. Wahab Abiodun Egungbohun, lawmaker representing Yewa North Ketu State Constituency II, has expressed deep shock and sadness at the sudden demise of Barrister Babatunde Ishola Quaseem Rajh-Label (BIQ) in a ghastly motor accident.
In a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, Hon. Egungbohun described late Rajh-Label as a dedicated and loyal grassroots politician, who served Lagos and Ogun States in various capacities, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape.
The lawmaker said BIQ’s death has no doubt sent shockwaves throughout the political community, with many mourning the loss of a true statesman.
Hon. Egungbohun, in the statement also described BIQ as a close friend, brother and political ally, whose commitment to the progressive cause was unwavering.
He recalled their working relationship, stating that BIQ’s demise is a great loss to the political family across Lagos and Ogun States.
The lawmaker praised BIQ’s dedication to public service, highlighting his roles as Special Assistant (South West Affairs) to Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jubrin, and Director General of Senator Adeola Campaign Organisation in Lagos West Senatorial District.
The lawmaker therefore expressed his heartfelt condolences to BIQ’s family, friends, and associates, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and the fortitude for his loved ones to bear the irreparable loss.
He urged his colleagues and the political community to emulate BIQ’s dedication and selflessness in service to humanity.
His passing has left a void in the political sphere, and his legacy will be deeply missed.
