President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven persons to head strategic agencies and programs under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
According to a statement issued by Presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the appointment is aimed at facilitating relief to Nigerians and ensuring the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programs.
The appointees include:
– Dr. Badamasi Lawal as Chief Executive Officer, National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA)
– Ms. Funmilola Olotu as Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office
– Ms. Aishat Alubankudi as Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups
– Princess Aderemi Adebowale as Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding
– Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam as Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office
– Mr. Ayuba Gufwan as Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities
– Ms. Lami Binta Adamu Bello as Director General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons
The appointees bring a range of experience and qualifications to their new roles, including backgrounds in education, business administration, community development, accountancy, law, and public administration.
The appointments are seen as a move to strengthen the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and ensure the effective delivery of humanitarian and social development programs to Nigerians.
