Ogun State Government has sought partnership with professional bodies to boost the state’s infrastructural development and its development plan.
The state Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, stated this while receiving the executive members of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Abeokuta branch.
Onasanya said Governor Dapo Abiodun has engineered unprecedented development, turning the state into a massive construction site across all sectors.
He highlighted achievements including:
– Over 600 kilometers of solid roads constructed
– Reconstruction of Abeokuta-Ita-Lagos dual carriage way
– Housing and industrial sector development
– Ongoing cargo airport projects
“The government is committed to constructing roads and infrastructure that will stand the test of time. We need the partnership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers,” Onasanya said.
He thanked Governor Abiodun for approving the entry point of engineers from GL 08 to GL 09 and promised to review careers of engineers in the civil service.
Nigerian Society of Engineers Chairman, Olumayowa Idowu, commended Governor Abiodun and requested implementation of the second part of the circular for career enhancement.
