Committed to preventing the breakdown of law and order in all parts of Ogun State, the State House of Assembly through its Committee on Justice and Public Petitions has directed all concerned parties laying claims to Baale stool at Abese Town, in Ewekoro Local Government Area to maintain status quo and promote peace and tranquility in the community.

The House Committee Chairman, Hon. ( Barr.) Oluseun Adesanya, issued the directive during a meeting with concerned parties including Chief Musiliu Awofe Adebolajo and Chief Olawole Babayemi Aikulola held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Adesanya, in company of Honourables Dickson Awolaja, Babatunde Tella, Musefiu Lamidi, Fola Salami, Ademola Adeniran and Waliu Owode, explained that the State Assembly was being guided by operational laws and regulations regulating the installations and conduct of Oba and Chiefs in the State, urging all the parties to ensure strict adherence to the regulations and maintain the status quo until subsequent interface with other relevant stakeholders.

The lawmakers in their separate submissions noted that the Assembly as part of its fact- finding activities would extend invitations to other concerned parties including the prescribed authority within the domain to ascertain the authenticity of the claims of all the parties involved in the chieftaincy tussle.
