The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has announced that all Corps members will receive a new monthly allowance of N77,000, effective March 2025.
Nafiu stated that the Scheme and Federal Government prioritize the welfare of NYSC members, ensuring their well-being is accorded maximum priority at all times.
He disclosed this while interacting with Corps members at Wuse and Garki NYSC Zonal Offices of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja, thanking them for their selfless service to the nation.
Nafiu advised Corps members to remain calm, dedicated, focused, and disciplined, lauding the founding fathers of the Scheme for conceiving the vision.
He emphasized that NYSC is a beautiful Scheme that builds bridges and exposes graduate youths to learn and understand cultural values outside their places of birth.
The NYSC management will continue to instill virtues of patriotism, discipline, self-restraint, good morals, leadership qualities, and teamwork in successive batches of Corps members.
“With effect from March, you are going to receive the sum of Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira as your monthly allowance. NYSC is good at record keeping, and I can assure you that your money will be paid. The Nation and the Scheme appreciate you,” Nafiu said.
Corps Member Zaka Deborah Alheri FC/24A/5831 praised the Director General for his efforts towards the payment of the increased monthly allowance.
