Singer Ayo Maff has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to fellow artist Chike for his contribution to their collaborative track “Realness,” revealing that Chike gave him all the royalties from the song.
Ayo Maff disclosed that Chike featured on the song without requesting any payment for his verse or studio session. He further praised Chike’s generosity and support, stating that the singer also attended the listening party for the project.
“I didn’t pay him a dime for the verse, I never paid for a session, he showed up to my listening party and showed me love. As if that’s not enough, he gave me all the royalties on our song,” Ayo Maff said.
Addressing Chike directly in his message, he added, “@Officialchike, I know you probably don’t want me to tell anyone, but I’m sorry, big man, the world has to know what you did for me, and you have to know how grateful I am. I’m so glad the song title is Realness.”
The track “Realness” is one of the songs off Ayo Maff’s debut album Prince of the Street, which recently topped the Nigerian Apple Music chart.
